why we do it

Energy demand continues to increase and is expected to double by 2050. At the same time the impact of energy consumption on the environment is becoming ever clearer with society expecting increasingly sustainable approaches to energy generation to stem the impact of climate change. Contradictions and tensions have never been more apparent and how they will play out in the future will depend on the complex collaboration between society, politicians and businesses. We believe in the power of innovation to solve complex problems which will enable us to create a world in which economic growth and prosperity is through reductions in the price of energy and that this can be achieved in parallel with reductions in carbon emissions for a sustainable future. Whilst the pathway towards this vision will no doubt be difficult and complex we see it as not only possible but also inevitable and one that offer significant opportunities for those able to harness the power of innovation to lead the way.
